Peak Pose Pop-Up: One Legged King Pigeon

A 75-minute strength based slow flow incorporating poses that sufficiently prep the body and mind for this heart and hip opener.

Rather than moving fast to build heat, we’ll go slow through postures that build upon one another. This class will guide students through awareness of mula bahnda (root lock), creating tension in key poses to deepen stretches, and adequate pelvic alignment for safe back bending.

Yogis of all levels are invited and will find benefit in this class.

More than a yoga pose, Eka Pada Rajakapotasana is an experience of strength, grace, and poise. In Indian history, pigeons were valued as messengers, exemplifying love, loyalty, and communication. One Legged King Pigeon Pose often acts as a messenger between the mind and the body for students. It communicates unknowns about ourselves while opening our hearts.
